Prior to joining Lemon Tree Hotel, Ahmedabad, Amit was the Executive Assistant Manager at Lemon Tree Hotel, Whitefield, Bengaluru and the Executive Housekeeper at Lemon Tree Premier, Ulsoor Lake, Bengaluru. He has previously worked with Le Royal Meridien, Chennai, Le Meridien, Ahmedabad and Taj Exotica, Goa.

JOJO, a honey blonde Indian dog, thrives at the Lemon Tree Hotel, Ahmedabad. The alcohol-free, mostly vegetarian environment of the city appears to suit his spiritual nature, demonstrated by his deep desire to meditate for prolonged periods in absolute silence. Curious guests may however spot him vociferously loitering just outside the coffee shop kitchen at lunch time only (1 pm to 2 pm, daily).
