Located in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand, Haridwar holds immense geographical and cultural significance. Situated at the foothills of the Himalayas and nestled along the banks of the sacred Ganges River, it serves as a gateway to the Char Dham pilgrimage circuit, attracting millions of devotees annually. Haridwar is renowned for its numerous temples, ashrams, and ghats, where pilgrims gather to perform rituals and seek spiritual solace. Situated on the Ganges' banks, it marks the point where the river separates into seven streams known as saptosarovars.

Daksh Mahadev Temple: Located in Kankhal, Haridwar, the Daksha Mahadev Temple, honouring Lord Shiva, is named after King Daksha Prajapati, father of Sati. While the temple itself is relatively recent, its yajnashala, where the original Sati sacrificed herself due to her father's insult, holds ancient authenticity.
Chandi Devi Temple: Nestled on Neel Parvat in the Shivalik Hills, this temple venerates the Chandi Devi Goddess and stands as one of Haridwar's five principal pilgrimage sites and a Siddha Peetha, fulfilling devotees' desires. Its trek-friendly location and scenic ropeway to the summit offer breathtaking vistas.
