Shesh Shaiya is an 11 meter long statue of Lord Vishnu. It is from the feet of this status that the River Charanganga is believed to originate. The reclining statute is a unique example of 10th century ancient architecture and personifies Lord Vishnu in a sleeping posture the seven hooded serpent- Shesh Nag.

This place is named after the holy temple of Sidhbaba. This is the most common point where you can be lucky to spot a tiger near the temple. Visitors would most defiantly also spot a sambhar, chital, painted stroke and even a wild boar, in this area.

The Gharipuri Dam is located about 10 km away from the Bandhavgarh National Park. It is famous for its construction. It is a bird watchers’ paradise as the surrounding of the dam are home to different species of water birds such as Black Ibis, Sarus Crane, Egret, Pied Wagtail, Red-Wattled Lapwing amongst others. This dam is also a popular picnic spot.

It is a small town around 10 kms from Jabalpur. It is most famous for the Dhuandhar Falls, Marble Rocks, and the Chaunsath Yogini temple dating back to 10th century. The river flowing through the marble rocks here is another scenic attraction.

Bandhavgarh is as famous for its ancient caves that date back to the 10th century, as it is for the tiger reserve. In fact, there are as many as 39 old caves within a radius of a few kms from the Bandhavgarh Fort. Bari Gufa, is the most popular of them all. It is the biggest man made cave and has nine small rooms and several pillars. Most caves carry inscription in Brahmi script or have embossed figures of animals such as tiger, pig, and elephant.

About 40 kms from the resort, this divine and mystic waterfall leaves visitors spellbound with its picturesque beauty. It is a must see for anyone travelling to Bandhavgarh.

Located near the Bandhavgarh Fort, this water hole also called the “Place of Quench the Thirst” is surrounded by bamboo clumps where large varieties of herbivores and carnivores come to drink water.
