Shaniwarwada

Built in 1732, Shaniwarwada was originally designed as the residence of the Peshwas. Since a fire gutted the former seven-story mansion, all that remains are the fortification walls with five gateways and nine bastions that enclosed the structure.

Aga Khan Palace

Surrounded by an extensive garden, Aga Khan Palace was built in 1892. A national monument of India's freedom movement, the palace was where Mahatma Gandhi stayed during the Quit India Movement. Ninety years after it was constructed, the palace was used during the filming of the movie "Gandhi." 

Pataleshwar Caves

Dating back to the 8th century, Pataleshwar Caves is a religious shrine that features statues of Nandi, Ram, Lakshman, and Ganesh. There's also a museum with a most unusual exhibit: a grain of rice engraved with 5,000 characters. You can look it up in the Guinness Book of World Records. 

Tribal Museum

Panshet Dam

A hill fort that's part of the Lohagad-Visapur fortification, Visapur Fort is known for its caves, decorated arch, cisterns of water and two ancient houses, which are believed to be former government offices. Other structures include several temples dedicated to Hanuman, the patron deity of the fort.

Big-time water adventures are the big draw at Krishnai Water Park in Pune's Sinhagad foothills. Rides are many and include the Cyclone, Lazy River, Octopus, Pendulum, and Rocking Rain Dance.
