Buddha Temple

Buddha Temple is a Tibetan monestary, also called as Mindrolling Monastery and was build in 1965 by his eminence the Kochen Rinpoche and few other monks for the promotion and protection of religious & cultural understanding of Buddhism. Built in Japanese architecture style, Buddha Temple complex atmosphere provides a mental peace equal to Buddhist monk. Buddha temple complex was created as one of the four schools of Tibetan religion. This temple complex is known as 'Nyigma' while other schools known as Sakya, Kagyu and Geluk respectively.

This marvelous Buddhism holy place Buddha temple is about 220 feet in height and has five floors enshrine statues of Buddha and Guru Padmasambhava. First three floors provides mesmerizing experience as eye catching ornate wall painting makes everyone stunned. These Lord Buddha life illustrating paintings were painted in pure gold color and about 50 artists took over three years to paint these intricate paintings.

Another major attraction of Buddha temple lies at its fourth floor. Reach out through steep wooden ladder, open circled viewing platform provides amazing 360-degree view of Doon valley. 103 feet statue of Lord Buddha is another main attraction in the temple complex. Tapkeshwar Temple

Indian Military Academy ( IMA)

The Indian Military Academy, Dehradun (also known as IMA) is the officer training Academy of the Indian Army. IMA was established in 1932.

The academy is located in the foothills of the Himalayas, about 8 km west of Dehradun in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand. Built in 1930, the Chetwode Hall on the Drill Square houses the administrative headquarters of the IMA and is also the hub of academic training. It has lecture halls, computer labs and a cafe. On the opposite side of the Drill Square is the Khetarpal Auditorium. Inaugurated in 1982, it has a seating capacity of over 2000.

The IMA Museum on the campus displays artifacts of historic importance. Among other war relics, it displays the pistol of Lieutenant General Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi of the Pakistan Army which he surrendered to Lieutenant General Jagjit Singh Aurora after signing the Instrument of Surrender to end the liberation War of 1971.

Bhatta Falls - Water Fall Near Mussoorie
