Situated in the state of Maharashtra in West India, Aurangabad is a major tourist destination. Extraordinary attractions include the Ajanta and Ellora Caves, world heritage monuments at Daulatabad (Deogiri Fort), Soneri Mahal and Bibi-Ka-Maqbara. Aurangabad is also known as the "City of Gates," as one can easily see by driving through the city.
